February Glitter Queens Blog Hop Treat Holders

February Blog Hop

Hello Everyone and Welcome ,

     Glad you could join us!

Here is my Mini Treat box Holder....( and a matching card I made from my leftover 3x3 swaps)

I used the  "Sure Do Love You"  Bundle for this project with a little tweeking!

I started off with a piece of   DSP cut at 4 1/4 X 8 1/2 .

I placed 1 end right up to the straight edge just before the tabs. Now bring up the other end all the way up to the top of the lid. place it in the Big Shot and run it through.

Now place the straight edge in the corner of the Score Board and score at 3 1/4  & 3 3/4  to create a bottom for the box.  Fold all of the score lines.

Cut out the tabs in the center on both sides.

Now punch out a tab with the 3/4" circle punch as shown.

Put some Tombow on the outside flaps and put the Mini treat box together.

Now we are going to take the sentiment "Just For You" and tap it in the Versa Mark, then into the Melon Mambo Ink Pad then right onto your Card stock.  Sprinkle clear Embossing powder on it and heat set it with your Heat tool.    Voila' ...... Now you have a shiny sentiment that catches your eye!         It is so much prettier in person!

Cut it into three pieces and place Mini Dimensionals on the backs of each word.

Stamp the large heart in Melon Mambo and cut it out with the matching Die.  Also cut out 1 in gold foil. Cut a small heart out with Gold foil as well.

Attach the large hearts together with Tombow liquid glue.

Attach hearts to Treat box with Dimensionals.

Add some embellishments then

Fill with your favorite treats!!

Here is the card opened.

Thats great, I did not realise that this box die created two different types of boxes. Brilliant tutorial. :O)

Eileen McLean

I am trying to do this box and am using heavy duty paper to get the idea of it. When you say you put one end of the paper on the die and then put the other end at the top, do you then fold out the paper straight A’s I cannot seem to get it right, what am I doing wrong? Thanks so much!

Jesse 'Inkyhive' Crean

Wow! All of you ladies are doing great with different ideas. Thank you and the papers!!!

Tracy Bradley

I love your box and how you did a bit of tweaking to make it different than intended! I'm definitely giving that a try!!! Thank you, Davette!

Joy Moss

Just too cute! I'm loving the papers everyone on the hop is using and how different each project is!
