First Fridays August Blog Hop

Todays Hop is using Stampin Ups Designer Series Paper.

I chose "Be Merry"

Here are my projects. Lets get at it.

My 1st project is a Ghirardelli Chocolate Pouch.

8 1/2 x 9 DSP

Here is a snap shot of the cut and score lines since I don't have a video. (smile)

Adhere glue to each edge as shown, Then place a chocolate in the middle and press the edges into place.

Take an 8 1/2 x 1/2 W white CS and glue to bottom of front flap.

Take an 8 1/2 x 1/2 Cherry Cobbler CS and punch out a decorative strip using the Decorative Ribbon Border punch and layer it onto the front flap.

Belly Band

8 1/2 x 1" DSP

8 1/2 x 1 1/4 CS

I embellished this using a Silver Doily, Snowflakes in glimmer paper from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and a Faceted Gem to complete it!!

For my 2nd Project, I made my  NO CUT Paper Purse.

We are using a 12 x 12 piece of Be Merry DSP.

Here is a snap shot of  all the score lines.

Follow  all score lines as shown.

Fold all score lines. Add Tear & Tape to all 4 corners as shown.

Fold over and press to secure.

For the  purse handles , I used the Lots of Labels thinlits. The largest and then the 3rd one down.  Use 1 of the centers you just cut out for your flap of the purse.

Attach the Handles on the inside of the purse using Tombow and making sure they are both even.

Next glue the flap to the back side of the purse. I  also used small magnets to make a closure for the purse and added a silver mini bow to it for some added glamour.

I used the Carols of Christmas Bundle to make the tag.

The sentiment is from Nature Sings and I punched it out with the Classic Label punch.

I used the 3/8" Silver edged ribbon to attach the tag to my purse.

I cannot WAIT to make these projects and really appreciate the time and effort you put into the making of the tutorials!!! These are sooooo creative and festive. I want to make some for my youngest daughter's coworkers for little Christmas gifts.

Adorable projects, Davette! Anyone would be very lucky to receive either of these projects. Your detailed directions make it so easy for someone to recreate each of them!
